Wolf hybred ????
I found this guy a few days before xmas 2007 around midnight. I got called to a job as guy on call didnt responde. After getting lost i went up a street to turn around and noticed some glowing eyes coming toward my van and something compelled my to investigate. As i walked around the back of my van this little guy ran to me and as i leaned down to greet him he just jumped in my arms it was love at first site and i feel a gift from GOd, Oh and this was on the side of a freeway by a houseing unit for Ft Bliss army base.
Anyway he is a very smart dog with lots of personality and great looks but not like any dog i ever had before. Thick skin , short thick coat , large bones , whene walking he gets scared of trash in the street but other dogs and people cause him to go on alert. If anybody comes over he will not let them out of his site and has niped at my brother and mom who come over a few times a month and stll wont trust them. He has beutifull teeth and the front are very strait and serrated. He still isnt 1 yr and from the pics i will leave very large. I know he is unique and might have some hybrid in him but just not sure. Any help would be thankfull. First pic is the first night and then on. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

What I see in this dog is no wolf what so ever.
Reasons: Ears, more like germanshepherd ears, Long pointed, and very little fur. where as a wolfdogs ears arent near as long, they're heavily furred(you cant see inside them) and slightly rounded at the tip, where as this dogs ears are pointy. Reasons: This dog was born a cream color. and had some markings. Where as hc wolfdogs are born dark Reasons: Hair is too short, and too thin Where as wolfdogs hair is thick, coarse, has a main In my opinion, the ears say to me germanshepherd, but lots of dogs with those ears, his nose looks germanshepherd esk, but he also looks like he has some golden lab, or trever. If there is any wolf in this guy, its low content, and I cant see it. |

No wolf in that boy is my bet ~ but he sure is cute.
Yellow Lab, Hound, maybe Shepherd of some kind in there. Though in the picture with you (I presume) he looks like a Corgi mix. |

I don't see wolf in there either. In this pic I took of the internet there is no mistaking the eyes. Wolf eyes are in a class by themselves and I don't see those unmistakable eyes on your pup. I think lab and shepherdX
No thats not me in the photo, but I sure wish it was ![]()

No, I don't see wolf of any kind either. I see Yellow Lab, (which sometimes have yellowish/greenish eyes), I think a thick otter Lab tail, and G Shepherd ears. He looks very much like my neighbours' dog who is a known Lab/shepherd cross and looks entirely Lab except for his ears.

I don't see wolf at all. I think lab, mixed with something else medium-large size, short coated with prick ears. Because of such a short coat I don't think German Shepherd (despite the ears), also I don't quite think the ears/face/eyes say shepherd. In the one picture looks like he could have shepherd but in the others I don't see it at all. If he had longer hair you might think husky or collie mix because of the pattern/mask on his head and eyes, though lots of other breeds can have that too. You don't happen to have any dingos around you do you?

I have owned two wolf crosses and they aren't always dark as someone stated above, but the common thing you will see is the eyes, ears and the legs tend to be very long. Mine were both timber wolf/shep cross. Yours i would say is labx. very handsome tho.

I think that this is the perfect picture showing a wolf hybrid. It is my mom's dog, a Canadian Eskimo (Inuit) Dog.
BTW your dog looks very cute, I love the big ears! ![]() Boris |

Holy Smokes. Look what I just found. Lance, I hope you are still watching this thread. This popped up on another forum I visit. Your dog does look like this American Dingo a bit. Check out the link and you will see they claim pssible DNA evidence linking these dogs to primitive breeds like the Dingo. It is amazing. I've heard of Dingos but not American Dingos, which apparently are also called Carolina Dogs.
