Free Shaping!!
hehe, I don't do enough of this, which I know I should! Anyway, after trying to figure out what to teach Bayley I decided to get her to put her front paws up on a chair. So I hauled out one of the kitchen chairs, her fave Beggin Strips and the clicker. She was like oh goody!! So I swear this dog gets things way, way too fast!! She started by looking at the chair, just took a couple of clicks, then she put her head on the chair..yay!! So I waited for her next move and yipee, paw went on the chair! Just one, then she tried the other paw..and at one point she did have both paws on the chair!!
I'd like her to have both paws up and then put her head between her paws, that will be very cute ![]() Anybody got any other ideas? My brain is frozen!! -46 wind chill here this morning!! I almost expect to see a woolly mammoth come strolling down our street!! |

pattymac, do a series of tricks that end up being one huge one, I've taught all my dogs (because of my daycare) to stop, drop and roll, so when we yell "fire" that is what they do, if we say "fire everyone out" they drop and crawl.....a neat fun way to teach my children.

oh I like that one!! That should be pretty easy! I've never been able to get her to roll over, but she does know how to crawl. Maybe this way I can get a roll over!

Glad you're having so much fun
![]() How about teaching Bayley to pick up toys and drop them into a toy box? Or fetching the tv remote? Your slippers? All sorts of fun stuff you can do with shaping. You can find a lot of videos on youtube as well.
