MEET MONTY (Montreal)

I am now fostering a sweet little fellow named Monty for the gals at Kiko Rescue.

Monty was found wandering the countryside with horrible matts and crawling with fleas. He seems to be around 4 yrs old and was likely living in a barn of a miller or BYB. How he got loose (or let go to die) is anyone's guess.

After having been completely shaved and long soakings in flea baths, this little darling is now on medication to help curb his itching and scratching which was causing him terrible skin sores. Everything is clearing up nicely now and is hair is slowly growing back. He has had his shots and is scheduled for neutering shortly.

As with any breeder dog who is intact, Monty will need a lot of patience in the toilet training department, although he is good in his cage.

Monty is gentle, playful, and loves his toys. He gets along with other dogs and has no problems with my cats. Monty is not a big barker, although he will let out a few small woofs when he hears me come home.

If anyone is looking for a snuggler with a crooked smile and who would make a great family dog, Monty just might be the one! PM me for details on adopting Monty.

Smile Sweetie

Just had to come in here to say what a sweet looking dog! Does anyone know what breed(s) he might be? I am so happy he is getting taken care of.
You know, I use to not like the "rule" here (Cobb, Wi) that you are limited to only having 2 dogs---but have to say now that I guess it is a good thing as I'd probably be over run with more than I could handle! "Knock" me if you must but I also have to say I love dogs more than I do most people! Hope he finds a good home!

Monty is a Shihtzu, although he looks rather odd with his hair shaved.

Foster Failure

I am now what they call a foster failure. My 4th foster for Kiko was a 5 yr old Sheltie-Corgie mix.

I fell in love! My daughter is ready to disown me because I now have 3 dogs: Abbie (13-yr old toy poodle), my Penny (rescued Chi from Animatch), Charlie (per my avatar), and now Nicky.

Oh well ... everyone's happy and my home & heart are truly full !
