what do you think he is?

hi everyone,

i have a puppy who is now 7 1/2 months old and weighs 43 lbs. i got him when he was 5 months old from a shelter. can anyone guess what mix he might be? the shelter told me pointer/dalmation but i don't think that's what he is although i am no expert in the field. what do you think? he is VERY smart and incredibly energetic, loves everyone [dogs and people] and always wants to play! i have posted pix of him at
http://photos.yahoo.com/sl00cie
thanks

I have no idea, he is cute though. His tail seems superlong is there any breeds with superlong tails.

He's a cute dog! cute as a button dog!!!
sorry I'm no help whatsoever, but whatever he is: AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

When I looked at him, I did think pointer immediately, but that could because of the ticking.

Holy Cow! Looks like a Great Canadian Heinz to me! And that has to be the longest tail I have ever seen on a single doggy!

What a cutie pattotie!

What is his height at the withers(shoulders). My guess is a mix on top of a mix. lol, he's just all mixed up, but awfully cute.

Hi Soozie!
I'm not sure what breed he is but he is adorable, one of those faces that could get away with almost anything.

I don't know about Cattle dog, but I do see Spaniel in him. I'm thinking Brittany/White Shepherd. His spots seem kind of "orangey" to me, and Dals have black spots. Or at least the ones I've always seen.

I would say Catahoulan (sp) and pointer or spaniel. Very very cute

ok...i'm 2 years late to this thread, but i'd like to give my 2 cents.

Definitely Australian Cattle Dog! He has exactly the same body type as my ACD mix and their face shape is the same too (although yours has much cooler looking ears).
