Talking Oddities We Love

I thought I would share this little tidbit about my pooch as It secretly cracks me up every time I see it.

I've read that it is fairly common for dogs to chow down on their own, or another animals poop. My pet seems to have developed a more "refined" taste in this area. Bailey has grown very fond of what we affectionately refer to as a Poopsickle. This seasonal treat for her is only available on the coldest of mornings. She knows I disapprove, but you have to imagine her chipmunk like appearance (mouth stuffed) with her head cocked to one side when I catch her in the act to see the humor in it.

What are your pets oddities?

Moopy, my sheltie used to love poopsicles too!

I think my German Shepherd has OCD. She'll dump out her toybox, spread her toys all over the place and gather (herd?) certain types together. In this pic, she has carried all her bones to her rug. Other times it will be her balls or stuffed babies.

Lucy will take 'forbidden' items from their location and bring them into the living room and put them in a pile. If said items are not available, she will collect all the dog towels that are at each door and do the same.

At Christmas when my folks were visiting she got into my mom's purse and brought in one glove. I took it from her and sternely told her no. She left the room and came back with the other one. Again I took it and told her no. As she left the room, I looked at my dad and said 'watch this, she will come in the her hat next'. Sure enough, she came strutting down the hallway with hat in mouth. It was difficult telling her no over dad's laughter. Had I not been there, she would have made a nice little pile of gloves and hats.

Buster is obsessed with heat. completely obsessed!! He will lean on electric heaters once they come on (he hears the click of the heater coming on in another room, and he'll rush there to feel the heat)
He's in love with our fireplace and has, more than once, singed a little bit of fur on it

Hi Moopy, Our oldest, Pepper is still a big fan of Poopsicles! She's done this her whole life (15 yrs). I occasionally catch her as she's coming in, and when I go "Hey!" she spits out the Poopsicle and looks at me like "What? I can't help myself Mommy!" She also likes the sun-dried ones in summer.
p.s.: What breed is the pooch on your avatar? It looks very much like my Pepper, who's a Border Collie/Blue Heeler cross.

Jemma's obsession is with her daddy... If he shuts any door with her on the other side, she cries and gradually starts sort of screaming...

Boo's is rabbits. Anything for a rabbit.

Bailey is an Aussie shepard/Blue Heeler cross. She displays very colorful markings and even a few comical cowlicks. (Never tried to spell that word before). We picked her up on a working cattle ranch, so the herding instinct in her is very strong!

She looks like a real cutie!! You'll have to post some pics of her, so we can see more of her. The Blue Heeler gives them those wonderful markings. I imagine she's a bundle of energy too!
