If you suffer from an allergy to a cat or dog you should know that there is no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic dog or cat.
If you have allergies you should not get a dog or a cat because the real problem is not in the fur of the cat or dog, but in their saliva. Washing, shaving, and grooming your pet can help if you have dog allergies or cat allergies but cannot eliminate the allergy altogether.
