I live in Washington state. A few years ago I was driving in a residential area at 25mph when I had to come to a sudden stop. My German Shepherd was sitting behind me ( he is trained to either sit or lie down ) he got wedged between the drivers seat and the door ( if you know What a Scion Xb looks like then you know how little room that is ) I had to get out and shove him back with both hands. If he had been sitting in the middle of the back seat he would have gone through the windshield. I went home that day and started an extensive search for canine seat belts. Even though I really could not afford one I found a high quality canine harness. I got a harness for my second German Shepherd before she even came home. These harnesses have proven themselves many times over. I am trying to contact people who would like to try and make it a law that animals need to be secured in some way when in a vehicle. If we buckle ourselves and our children why would we not secure our pets? Do people think that their animals are invincible and can’t get hut? Thank You for your time.
