Cats dogs and the summer heat – Pet podcast #41 – Interview with Dr. Lee

Pet podcast #41 features an interview with Dr. Lee a veterinarian in Mesa and Phoenix Arizona. In this interview we discuss how the heat and sun affects cats and dogs. We talk about sunburn and heat-stroke in dogs and cats as well talk about general tips to keep cats and dogs heat-safe during the hot summer months.

A couple of key points:
- NEVER LEAVE YOUR DOG OR ANY PET unattended in a car during the summer months.
- A dog house IS NOT adequate shelter from the sun in the summer as there is no air circulation. A dog house can be more like an oven than a refuge from the heat.
