Unhappy Brynn is puking and has diarrhea...

I am in Atlanta for the week for work, and the girl I have looking after my furkids called me tonight in a panic because Brynn apparently had been vomitting and had diarrhea for the past few hours. All she has had today is a chicken quarter which they split up and fed to her 1/2 in the AM and 1/2 in the PM. There is no blood in her stool, and the vomit is mainly mucous with some bile. I am wondering if maybe she got into something in the yard when they put her outside, so I have asked them to look around the yard tomorrow.

I have instructed her to hold off on B's normal food and give her cooked white rice tomorrow. She was drinking some tonight and when I got off the phone with her a few minutes ago, she hadn't puked or had diarrhea in the past 30 minutes or so.

I am thinking we should see how tomorrow goes, and if it continues through tomorrow I will have them take her to the vet. I hate to rush her to the vet right now, as its not necessarily a dire emergency just because a dog pukes or has diarrhea, on the other hand I certainly don't want my babe sick!

Eep. I think I just needed to share my concern with someone, but if anyone has any advice that would be great, thanks.

You must be so worried not being at home right now.

Hopefully Brynn will be fine in the morning but if not I hope the petsitter can get her into the vet for a checkup.

Talking B is doing much better!

B is doing much better today! She happily devoured her rice I had Candis make for her, and has apparently been back to her normal, happy 'bouncy' self haha! So relieved - I defaintly was sent into panic mode there for a bit! Thanks for all the kind thoughts everyone!

Glad to hear she is doing so much better . Nothing worse than a loved one sick and not being there to help.

Perhaps it was just stress with you being away?

Good to hear she is doing much better
