Cat dental care
My cats breath really smells bad, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with his teeth. His gums are a bit swollen but I'm not sure it this is due to his teething. He's 6 months old and just a few days ago he started loosing teeth, he's been really eager to chew on anything he can get his mouth on like my fingers (ow!).
About his dental care: I brush his teeth everyday with a cotten swab because he still wont let me approch him with a finger/mini tooth brush. I use cat tooth paste, it says it's enzymic? I've read in a book that cats should chew on bones to help their teeth as well, is this true? If so what kind of bones? I really want to avoid bones that could splinter and injure my cat. Thanks! |

One thing that is recommended for cats to chew are raw chicken wings. Because they are raw, the bones will not splinter.
