Cat fight?

I left for work in the dark this morning at 6:45 a.m. and came home an hour and a half later. As I approached the front door I noticed something dark in the snow. It was black fur everywhere. Mixed in with the black fur was beige fur obviously from a different critter. I am assuming that at least the beige fur is from a cat. The black could be from another cat or I guess a skunk. I did find some blood spots and a little further away a small pool of blood.
I looked around the area and under trees hoping not to find a severly injured animal or worse a dead one.
I have never owned a cat, is it normal that they draw blood when they fight? Could this cat, if it is a cat, be really hurt ? I often see cats in my neighborhood and I think they are males by the size of their heads. I only know one of my neighbors has a grey cat. I don't know where they others come from.

A cat could have caught a bunny as well. Bunny kicks will tear some fur on a cat. I had a big tabby that used to hunt bunnies all the time on our farm and he would be missing fur every once in a while with some minor claw scrapes.

If it was two tomcats fighting then one or both could be seriously and even fatally wounded.

If it were a skunk, believe me you would smell it and no animal will attack a skunk. Around here the squirrels are black and my old cat killed many, but there's not much of a fight and I never found fur around, just the bottom half of many corpses.

Cat fight

I never thought of a rabbit. I guess it could have been but the fur was a very light beige. I thought about the lack of smell if it were a skunk. All our squirrels are grey so I guess it was two cats. I am going to check better tomorrow morning. My kids didn't move their cars today so it could have crawled under one of them.
I didn't hear a fight last night but this morning Hunter was growling at the front window. I looked out but didn't see anything.
