Hello everyone. I have a little issue and would like some advice. When I walked outside last night to take out the trash I found that a stray kitten has been residing underneath my home. I live on a busy highway so it is unusual to find stray animals, but this kitten cannot be any older than 6 months old. She is extremely skinny and was starving. I have been feeding her and bringing her in but today I noticed her nipples were a little bigger than they probably should be??? I guess my question is could she be pregnant, and if so, what should be my next step??

It may be she is going into heat or it may be she is pregnant. If you can afford to take her to the vet, I would do so and schedule a spay. That way you would help her and not have to worry about kittens.

Thank you for taking this poor little girl in,she obviously needed help
As suggested, the best thing is to get her to the vet, maybe she is not as young as you think, females can at times be really tiny. Maybe she already had a litter and she has the kittens hidden somewhere, did you check??? Thank's again, for caring ![]()

Having her spayed now and terminating the pregnancy (if there is one) is the best bet. It is a little more expensive than a normal spay, but you don't have to worry about finding homes for the babies. There is enough kittens out there, there don't need to be any more.
This little girl is lucky she found someone who cares. Thank you for being her ![]() |
