Help Pls! - Pet forum for dogs cats and humans

Hi there! Posting this with my fingers crossed, though I've learned to copy every post before submitting it. I've had this problem before, it seemed to clear up for a while, but is back constantly now.

Whenever I try to reply, or start a new thread, I'm taken back to the login page and I have to relog in. Sometimes, when I click on a thread to read, again I get bumped off and have to log in again. Same with pm's. In other words, whenever I try to post anything, I'm taken back to login page, must re login and try over and over. Sometimes it takes 3 attempts before I stay logged in and am able to post.

I've cleared my cashe and cleared all cookies. Also read the FAQ's, resfreshed, tried everthing I can think of. I belong to another VBullitin board for the Missing and Murdered and haven't experienced this problem.

Any ideas? It's sooooo frustrating, though I've learned to copy and paste really well, lol! Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks in advance BTW, this post is being posted after 3 tries,now 4, now 5 lol

Edited to add: I also checked my security settings, and cookie settings to allow all from this board, that's okay too.

Hi, thanks for replying, Yes I let him know when it was first happening, and he said no one else was reporting problems, but he'd look into it. He's sooooo busy, I hate to pm him again with the same prob.

I'm hoping someone else is experiencing the same thing and maybe they can also post about it, or let me know how to fix it.

I have had the problem if sending a PM when already logged in. When I try to send it, it tells me I am not logged in. I know now to copy over to a blank e-mail and then copy it back.

I have experienced probs in the past but nothing like you are describing. Did you clear your history? Go to Tools, Options, and Delete Files on IE (assuming you are using IE - it is different for Netscape, Opera or Forefox). It seems as tho the server thinks clicking Submit Reply sends you to the login page which makes no sense to me either.

Until you get it fixed, maybe have two windows open. And copy and paste the message (I had to do that when I was losing messages too - so I copy especially long messages now quite religiously!).

I wish I knew what else to tell you - clearing the cache, history and cookies should have helped! But sometimes - especially if a page is in the history of a browser, clearing the cache the old fashioned(easy) way won't work so on the Settings where you View Files, try to delete the pets.ca files individually and see if that works.

Do you click that box beside "Remember Me"? I never log in because that bugger is checked.

Yes, that bugger is checked, but I still have to enter all the info

CyberKitten, yes, deleted History, both ways, cashe, cookies twice.

SnowDance, glad to see I'm not the only one and not crazy, but sorry you're having problems too
Also tried the copy through the Edit; copy&paste in IE, and the copy & paste by right clicking and the Control C and V manner.

Hoping this will clear up soon, it's sooooo frustrating to have to try 3 or 4 times to post. Sometimes, I just give up and don't make the post!

Do you have a good antivirus? Could it be a virus?

Thanks Prin, yes I've run Trendmicro, have Norton, and even ran the Virus Scan through Microsoft, can't remember what it's called. Like was happening before, it's not happening on other VBullitin sites I belong to, only this one! Maybe it'll clear up on it's own again, it did before..BUT, wait a sec....

Hmmmm. maybe this site doesn't like me :sigh :sad:
