It's a zoo in here today!

We are allowed to bring our dogs into the office on occasion (although my dogs never come, because they aren't allowed on the go train), but today, we have

1 beagle
1 brown lab *5 months*
1 black lab *7* months
1 shihzsu

It is going to be a fun day of no work!

that sounds like so much fun. I am jealous. I wish we could have a "dog" day but not a chance here.

Are dogs allowed on the Go in off hours like the TTC?

Nope. No dogs on the GO at all (unless seeing eye, etc). It really sucks because I live in Brampton and if I adopt a dog in Toronto, I would have a REALLY hard time getting it back to where i live.

You can bring a dog on the TTC at any time of the day. The only rule is that you have to get off the bus/train if someone is uncomfortable/allergic and asks you to leave (my parents work for the TTC).

I would love a dog day at our office, but at least one person in the neighbouring department on our floor is deathly afraid of ALL dogs.

It is great having the dogs around, it is nice to pet them as they walk by.

I guess we are not allowed to use the s word, as it was edited out with stars?

Raingirl

I think if you were to adopt a dog outside Brampton and needed help with transport, there are lots of folks here who would help. Don't let that stop you from finding your furpect companion.

That's crazy--I can't even imagine where you must work to be allowed pets there!!! I'd love that

No more leaving your animals at home during the day...bring them to work everyday! hehe No one would get anything done ever

Last year when I rescued Whinnie she was pregnant. When she had the Litter in December, my boss was overjoyed, and he arranged a puppy day. I don't drive, so he got his wife to pick me up and take me to collect my puppies, and then all the employees kids waited at the office for us to return. We spent the whole afternoon playing with the puppies and weighing them on the shipping scale. I think work would be so much less stressful if we could bring our kids. Maybe we all wouldn't be in such a rush to get home, if our kids were always with us.

I'm jealous.

Ideally, I'd like to find another job that would allow me to do that. Mind you with whats going on in the media right now, my babies aren't really welcome anywhere. If the owner wasn't allergic, everyone here would bring their pets to work. He is the only one of 11 employees who does not own an animal.

We are allowed to bring our dogs in on the weekend. Theres only a few people here that work overtime and they have animals aswell. Belle gets so excited when we turn the corner, she knows we are going to work for a few hours and she can meet some people and dogs! If only I felt that way about work!

My boy is a pitbull!! Most people don't have a clue of what he is! They think he is a rare, special breed........ or a boxer!!!! People that know what he is already know another pitbull!

We are moving soon and the new building does not allow animals.

The building we are in right now is only 4 stories and the landlord has a dog, so that helps!

I will miss the two labs, because they have been coming in everyday since they were just new pups.

I took Den-Den in to the Library once on a Sunday. Library was closed but I wanted to finish up a project without being interrupted. He was so excited about all that space! Ran around exploring. After about 15 mins, he realized I wasn't paying attention to him, just to my computer. He stood in front of the entrance doors and barked. He was bored and wanted to leave! No getting any work done after that. I had to take him home!

CarlaD, WAS it a no work day?

raingirl, if PEOPLE make me feel uncomfortable, can I ask them to get off the bus/train as well? geez, at least MANY ttc workers in my area only PRETEND to do their job, I can walk in w TWO dogs at 5pm to take them to the vet, YES! (no offense to ur parents, i dont know them!!!! )

ah, what I love best are those guys telling the whole world they're on modified duties. so instead of actually WORKING, they letting anyone and everyone walk in regardless of paying... and the workers who let metropass/transfer ppl get on thru the back doors... ah, my list goes on.
