Bloody stool/Hyperthyroidism
My cat is estimated to be 8 years old. Last month she ruptured an anal gland. I took her to the vet to get antibiotics and have the abscess cleaned and drained. Earlier this week she was finally healed up from the abscess and had her last suture removed. Today I noticed that she had red blood around her anus. The surgery site looked fine, it was clearly from a bowel movement. She was also recently diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. We have yet to move forward with any treatments for it yet. Is this a sign of a worsening problem?
