German Shepard Mix (calgary)

We took in a German Shepard mix because a girl we knew had to move and couldn't take him with her.

He is Neutered, but doesn't have shots.
A good dog but needs a home with out small animals; especially cats.
He needs to be crated when he's home alone, it has to be an all metal crate.

He knows basic commands and is a sweet dog.

I wish i could do more for him, but i currently lack the resources to do so.
He will soon be going to the SPCA if we don't find him a home.

Please help!!

email lostkitten@shaw.ca for inquiries

That is quite the smile!

Is that a tattoo in his ear? If he is registered the original breeder may take him back.

Its Tattoo links back to his owner, for whom we are taking care of the dog.

But what about the original breeder?

It wasn't from a breeder... He was a free puppy from the bargain finder (or an equivilant) three years ago. note : "mix" in the title of the thread.

Well, unfortunatley we no longer could care for him. Our resources were wearing very thin. We took him to the SPCA for adoption but while he was there he tried to bite a handler so he was euthanized

sometimes I wish people told the end of their rehomed pets story on this site, but in this case I'm not sure if I wanted to know this or not... :(
if I feel sad that I could not help, oh how should you feel then - you saw this pup, you lived with him, you brought him to SPCA...

I'm not sure with all the rescues out there you did not look for this poor guy to be put in some sorta of recuse or at least a no kill shelter and main them asure that he would not be put to sleep also why could you not handle him any way was he bitting you???
