:) There is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Rescue Group on Yahoo and just recently there was one up for adoption in Ste Catherines. Perhaps you could check there. This lady, Wendy, runs it and seems to know where they all are. Let me know if/when you get one. They are the bomb!!! :p

I went on Yahoo to look for it but this was the only thing I could find:

At least I can start somewhere...! Great help! I'll let you know for sure as soon as we found one! :)

Join the group and go on the Adoptions page. There is also an adoption application that you could fill out. They have some really really cute ones. PM me if you need any help.

Gillis Gillis is a young senior neutered male Wheaten Terrier/Lhasa Apso as far as we can tell. In any event he is non-shedding and his coat requires clipping to keep Gillis looking as handsome as he is in his picture. This appealing boy is smaller than a wheaten and larger than a Lhasa and a tad over-weight at present. No doubt regular walkies, which he enjoys, will take care of that problem. Gillis is a friendly guy but his is the low key approach. He will leave it to the younger furry fools to hurl themselves in glee at their family members and run in dizzying circles around the house. He expresses himself with a quiet nuzzle, a wagging tail and big brown eyes. Easy to be with, a wonderful undemanding companion.

Did you ever find a dog? Are you still looking? If you found one, we would love to see pictures.

I grew up with wheatens, they're such great dogs! My mom and dad still have a great girl - Poppy, six years old. Here's her dogster link!

Warning: Wheaties definitely have an independent streak (like all terriers), but they are still very lovable!! If you are looking for a velcro dog though, look elsewhere. And they are high energy - they need lots of exercise!

Good luck! :)

Name: Zoe
Age:Almost 1 Year o
Sex:F

We are moving and cant bring our Zoe Bear with us. She is a pure bred Wheaton Terrier, with papers, who will be a year old on Christmas Eve. She is a beautiful dog who loves kids and is very loyal to her family. She is housebroken, and she loves to go for walks and run around in the leaves. She needs a good home with alot of love and she will give you lots and lots of kisses in return. Very small adoption fee in exchange for all the love you will receive from our Zoe Bear.

Still looking for a little pup. I'm still loving the wheatens, but I also love the Westies and the Mini Dashunds (did I spell that right?). I'll keep looking and hoping :(
