I look forward to meeting you all! We currently have 2 bloohounds, a b&t coonhound and 2 cats. One of our bh's was being dumped at the shelter by his previous owner and we just happened to be in the right place at the right time. He didn't make it through the doors, we took him home. Buford was starved and abused but now he's happy(neutered) and spoiled. Talk about a small world but he and our allready bh Henry are half brothers. They seem to know it to! :D

I hate to jump in asking for something but does anyone know of a bloodhound rescue in BC? There's a red boy who's foster needs help finding him a home. :(

Hi here is a link for the BH rescue in BC. I had a BH about 8 years ago that was a rescue as well. Great dogs real sweet personality. Lucky Buford looks like he found a loving home. If they can't help I know of someone in Ontario who works with BH rescue here and in the US. So post agin if you need more info.

I just sent the girl who posted him a note to see if she's found someone to help place him. The only rescue in Ont I know of is Tammy A but I didn't even think of her so thanks for mentioning it. Are these rescues not all in the US? I get confused as to where they are because it's all Southwest/Northeast, that kind of stuff but no acctual states mentioned. Where did you get your hound from? They're my favorite breed even though the slingers can be high maintenance.LOL
