I notice in the background of the picture there are children's things... and they say he needs a family WITHOUT young children... has he had a problem with kids?

Yes , he lives with a 2 yr old little girl , who doesn't leave him alone , he gets fed up and growled at her once or twice , but that's it , he doesn't get aggressive or anything. The lady is expecting another baby so she doesn't want to take any chances.

OMG Frenchy, if he was closer to Halifax I'd take him in an instant. He would be a great fit for my two active booger heads (he'd get used to a cat pretty quick as Gracie would be quick to show him who is the real boss).

Hope he finds a great home. :pawprint:

Would the owner be able to visit friends that have a cat to see !! ?? I am 30 minutes away .....the owners if interested could even visit to see how Rusty was doing from time to time.

Oh that face!! He'll find a new home fast, I'm sure! Even with kids, if they know how to treat a dog!

Rusty is beautiful. Have you thought of taking him to a rescue?, where he would be exposed to many people? These groups are good at matching families with dogs and have great reputations! Animatch and Rosie dog rescues. Let us know what you decided.

Rusty is still looking for a new family. The family interested had some new things in their life that won't make it possible for them to adopt him.

Oh my,that's strange,you are right..
I remember a cartoon when I was a girl in Sweden,it was about a young boy with a funny curl on top of his head,he was always wearing baggy golf-pants that went just below his knees and he had a pup just like Rusty, maybe it was a Swedish cartoon:confused:

I know that cartoon, that was Tin Tin, I think... different from Rin Tin Tin.

Poor Rusty:sad:. I'd take him in a second, but Tommy is not good with male doggies, and from what I understand that's a pretty common terrier thing. I did try... my hubby's ok with a second, but it has to be a girlie dog:sad:.

Its Tin Tin (http://tintin.francetv.fr/uk/) its a french cartoon and the dog is indeed a fox terrier called Snowy!

Yes , Rintintin was a GSD , Chico2 you meant Tintin , his dog (in french) was named Milou :D

I don't get it , I had many inquiries about Rusty and responded to all of them but nobody got back to me. The family that was suppose to adopt him can't take him because they have a member of the family at the hospital right now. But they still want to adopt him. It all depends on how the situation improves.

I haven't heard about any updates , I know the lady wasn't in a rush , she wanted to make sure he would go only to a very good family.
