Pugsley has dark claws.
I clip them, but slowly - going back just a tiny bit at a time.
He's good about it, but gets restless because it takes me so long to do.
I cut too far today, into the quick :( He jumped a bit, didn't cry or anything, but you could tell it HURT.
Is there any sure-fire way to tell where the quick is, aside from taking multiple small cuts and hoping for the best ?
All my cats have had clearish claws, it was (and is - with Butterscotch) easy to clip theirs.
