THANK YOU for posting this..I LOVE this story. Actually one day coming home from work I noticed a turtle in the middle of the road. I pull over, pick him up and carry him over past the side of the road. (always point a turtle in the direction where you want him to go).

As an Animal Control Officer, I do this everyday for work..save/rescue sick and injured domestic and wildlife everyday and get to see wildlife get realease back into the wild, when they are healthy/strong enough. No wonder I am in LOVE with my job.

We always stop and move turtles across the road if possible. We've yet to have to rescue an injured one though.
