My Golden Retriever Abby is 5 years old and overweight. She has been looking at me the last two days like something is wrong. She still plays ball but not as long, then she wants in the house to lay down. She is eating and drinking normally. She is urinating normally but when she moves her bowels it doesn't seem like she goes enough. In the last two days she is breathing heavily whenever she moves. Her nose is cold and wet and sometimes warm and damp. Her gums are still pink. I noticed she has a discharge coming from where she urinates. The last couple of weeks she has been left alone in the house alot where she sort of became sad. Now we are home more for our life slowed down alittle. Is this an emergency?

If she were my dog, I would see a Vet. Lethargy and depression are certainly symptoms of illness and more importantly the vaginal discharge needs to be seen to. If your dog is not spayed then yes, it could be an emergency.

Why take the "wait and see if it's an emergency risk". Get your dog to a vet!
