Robbie's Mom

Hello all! I'm hoping someone can give some advice or has maybe seen this before.
I have a shih tzu, Robbie, that I rescued from a puppy mill about five months ago. We estimate him to be about three years young. He's wonderfully behaved, considering the conditions he lived in for most of his life. This weekend he had an unchaperoned play date with a pug who was a garbage monger (unbeknownst to me). I have no idea what, if anything, Robbie ate from the garbage but I know there was (cooked) chicken and vegetables in there. That was on Saturday afternoon.
Today, Tuesday, I came home to find Robbie had diarrhea - and bad. The strange thing was that it looked like there was a greyish long sac - like the casing of a sausage - in there that was filled with diarrhea as well. It was very, very foul smelling.
He seems fairly fine. No vomitting. His energy is fine. He hasn't urinated or pooped in the house other than this instance. He hasn't eaten all of his food the past two days, though.
Any ideas???
Thank you.
