I had not seen this story until now but imagine this kitty - jumps in his person's suitcase as she is packing and she does not notice!! (I guess she planned to call the cat sitter when she got there?) and she does not find him until she unpacks!!! In the meantime, he has gone through several xrays in security and some security people thought she had a turkey! This is rather small updated version of The Incredible Journey!! Here it is:

CK,  I am surprised it does not happen more often,my Rocky knows when he sees our suitcases,we are going away and he always plants himself firmly on the suitcase,as if protesting.
Vinnie is the one who crawls in to the suitcase:cat:

My YY jumps in too - in fact, I have a picture of her in one, lol (will try to find her one of these days) - so it is surprising I have not found her in one of my travels, lol In fact, maybe it is not a bad way to get your cat on Air Canada without them knowing (Kidding, lol) I would worry about a cat suffocating - there must be some air that gets through but still... it was not a long trip fortunately.

 Doesn't speak well of airport security if they think a cat resembles a turkey

I know -I think that was in part the point of the news item and the investigation!! I once was at the airport in Hfx and did not have my Passport (ie a good ID for a picture ID) and used my hospital one. Well, the security person was interested in volunteering at our hospital and when she saw my ID, she asked a zillion questions about that and forgot to look in my briefcase!! I mean - it did go through the Xray machine (minus the laptop) but still.... that kind of unnerved me.

On another occasion, one of the security people asked me how to obtain a job at the hospital. I guess she was not too keen on the airport, lol

For cats that hate the carrier for the vet you could just pretend you are going on vacation.:p

Hehe, there is a kewl Maya!! The cat can jump in the suitcase but prob would not be too pleased when the zipper was undone and she or he smelled the vet's place, lol

My cats like all kinds of bags, but hate the carriers, maybe I'll just bring Rocky in a suitcase:cat:
It would confirm to my vet what she already suspects,I am a bit whacko:laughing:
