Hi!

I mentioned this in another thread but felt it may be helpful to give it its own thread for those who may be searching for a more holistic approach to common pet problems that include pain, inflammation, allergies, digestive problems and so on.

I purchase mine at 1800petmeds and would not be without a bottle in the house!

What is this product used for
An outstanding, proven safe, all natural supplement. Yucca contains steroidal saponins, which are nature’s most powerful anti-inflammatory agents. Yucca Intensive standardized extract contains over 85% bio-available saponins versus only 3 to 7% left in waste powder. Yucca Intensive can be used for arthritis, bone and joint problems, soft tissue swelling, digestive, bowel problems and colic. Yucca Intensive also reduces the itch of allergies.

The above link with bring you directly to the item explanation along with 15 customer reviews. The product has a rating of a perfect 5 stars, and it deserves it as it has allowed my dog to live a much better life without strong pain meds with side effects.

Take care.

Hmm... My dog food store had Yucca and I had no idea what it was for. Thanks. :)

When Chance started having problems with his back a friend of mine told me about it as he used it when one of his dogs had cancer. He said that it was a miracle for his dog so I definitely had to seek it out and have been quite pleased with it.

Apparently the liquid works much better than the powdered version. I only pay $15 US for 2 oz and it lasts a good 3 or 4 months at least. The dose is about 1 drop per 10 pounds per day, which can be doubled when needed, Chance is 60 pounds.

I understand the dose is 1 drop per 10 lbs per day and that it should be diluted. When it says to dilute do they just simply mean add it to something else: yogurt, canned food, etc. Or are you to dilute it with a certain amount of liquid, etc?

Hi!

Yes, 1 drop per 10 pounds... and it is best to be split into 2 doses... Our dog is 60 lbs so we give him 3 drops in the morning and 3 at night. If he is having a hard day the dose can be doubled... we would then give him 3 drops in the afternoon too.

It is an anti-inflammatory so it needs to be taken with food.

Which we do is to put the drops on a dog biscuit, let it absorb into it and give it to him. You could put it in anything, just ensure that it is big enough to put something into his stomach and small enough so that he will eat the whole thing.

Take care.
