Will have more info later

Dog, fairly large male (intact of course) Lab or Rottie mix, young - VERY sweet and friendly with people and other dogs. Person who found him cannot keep, so he needs foster/adopt asap.

Well, on the plus side, the SPCA is pretty empty right now so the likelyhood of adoption is pretty high for any dog.

Should have added, if they found him in Suroit district then take him to animal control, buys 5 more days depending on where he was found. Then if no claim, heads to SPCA or rescue is contacted. Not a plus but there is no room in most rescues right now.

That's very nice of you to offer!:)

Do you have a website or Petfinder site with your information on it that I can look at?

Actually, he's with that dog catcher/peddler on Harwood right now.:(

I know the man you are referring to and, in my opinion, he is wonderful with dogs. He bought the business out of his love for dogs.

If a dog is picked up, not claimed within a few days, and is friendly and adoptable, he will try to place it. A friend of mine bought a lovely lab/shepherd mix from him ($75) which is a lot less than most adoption fees. The $75 covered his fee to pick up the dog and care for it for a couple of weeks. He does not sell dogs to make money, that's for sure.

This same person also greatly supports rescues and it is at his facility that CASCA now houses their cats (at a pittance for rent). Other rescues have dealt with him and I believe have found him to be a decent person. He has found homes for many a stray dog that is adoptable. He could easily bring them all down to the SPCA, as he gets paid by the city to do so. Instead, he will house the dog, feed and care for it, and try to find it a good home.

He's still at CCS. I'm meeting another dog there this afternoon so I'll take a look at him while I'm in. Apparently he's a lovely young fellow.

At least we know he is safe there and being well taken care of.

The rescue that took him would have to do that. I took another available one but didn't take photos of him as he was already taken care of :thumbs up .
