I pulled two Pits named Tyler and Tess who were chained to a tree in Arkansas - they were found with another dog who was dead, chained to them.

Tyler and Tess were almost starved to death - had no hair. They arrived in Maine at the beginning of April. They were terrifiied of everyone and everything. Took two weeks just to get them to leave the kennel and go outside.

They still will only agree to short walks close to the building. Big "no thanks' on any suggestion of a walk in the woods. They are very sweet and loving dogs - lots of hugs and kisses to give...no signs of aggression. They both get along well with other dogs. Have gained weight and grown hair, now they just need foster homes or forever homes. They are learning how to play. Tess loves squeeky toys. So does Tyler, but he likes to shred them...To read more about these two go to my petfinder site: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/ME52.html

If anyone has a foster home or forever home for one or both - please have the contact me: slricher66@yahoo.com

awwww, poor little guys...they're so cute -- how can anyone be so mean????
Who found them? It's a shame they weren't found found before the third little guy passed away http://bestsmileys.com/sad/6.gif

I've heard of people going into the woods to dump their dogs, but tying them to a tree ???!!?-- that REALLY gives them NO chance of survival..http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/4.gif..disgusting. Whoever did this should be shot. And they're just little puppies....poor little babies, I hope they find a FANTASTIC forever home real fast. http://bestsmileys.com/fingers/1.gif Keep us posted!
