Dukieboy February 9th, 2005, 08:56 AM What kind of Bull Terrier, Boston, Pit, Staffordshire ?
Lizzie February 9th, 2005, 09:05 AM Correct me if I am wrong--but it is very difficult to acquire a dog with desired markings like a spot over its eye....you get what you get really (expecially if they are looking for a don cherry dog to be like his former fur friend).
Are you looking for a puppy or are you willing to get an older dog?
raingirl February 9th, 2005, 09:09 AM So, you want a "Target Dog"?? (I love the Target commercials!)
greaterdane February 9th, 2005, 10:13 AM If you are looking for an English Bull Terrier, I have been looking for about a year now, looking at breeders, rescues etc and I can tell you it is very very hard. I luckily came across one on petfinder and am going to see him and hopefully adopt him tonight. You will almost never find one with a patch on his eye, they are in demand and will go for prices like $2000USD. This breed is very expensive from a breeder and with what I was seeing, the breeders are mainly in the US. You need to not look at markings, you need to look at temperment, health issues etc. Good luck on your search and I will keep you posted if any of my bull rescues get back to me about adoptables. :)
happycats February 9th, 2005, 10:23 AM Like Petey form the Little Rascals (i believe he was a pit bull)
There are 3 at the THS 2 staffs and 1 pit mix, all 3 are white with either black on left, right, and one has 2 black eyes.
Hope this helps!!
mastifflover February 9th, 2005, 10:30 AM I have only ever seen 2 in rescue. Not a common breed to find honestly you will have more luck checking the US rescues.
greaterdane February 9th, 2005, 10:34 AM If its a staffy, then she will have no problem. With talks of the ban there are so many in the THS right now. If she wants an English Bull Terrier, then the US rescues is the route to go. I will try to help, but I need to know what breed she is talking about :)
mastifflover February 9th, 2005, 10:37 AM I think she want an English Bull Terrier
Sheriffmom February 20th, 2005, 09:18 AM Arn't most of the "Bull Terrier" breeds banned in Kitchener Waterloo?
Sheriffmom February 20th, 2005, 09:27 AM There is a super cute all white Pitbull Terrier at Petsharbor.com He has a brown patch on one eye (a la Petey). He is at the TO humane society (I think his name was Rascal???) I will post the link to him when I find it.
Sheriffmom February 20th, 2005, 09:48 AM Okay..... here are some links.....
www.deafdogs.org they have many white dogs (english, american, pit, staff) with spots-- before you dismiss getting a deaf dog, do a little research on it. You'll be amazed how similar they are to a hearing dog.
www.petharbor.com they have Patches (8ms) @ TO Animal services Scarborogh), Rascal (9ms) @ TO HS, Dalilah (7ms), Julie (3yrs but stunning!), Chikita (2yrs but absolutly adorable), and Pab @TOHS. They are all either black or white in coloring with markings on or above their eyes. :)
Trinitie February 21st, 2005, 02:47 PM I do not think this person is coming back.
