Heidi's Tribute
She was my first Rottweiler, and my first dog at the age of 20 years old. Strangely enough, also one of my teachers' in life.
She was an incredibly smart puppy, who grew into an evermore equally intelligent adult. She recieved her Canadian Championship title, Companion Dog Title, Therapy Dog Title, as well as appearing on TV.
Heidi's short life was stolen in the form of lymphoma. Her initial diagnosis forced us to seek every type of medical treatment available to no avail. Heidi was put to rest on September 24, 1995. Who knew...but a wake followed with all of her favourite people in attendence.
She was a one-in-a-lifetime dog.
