My Cat Escaped – Pet tip 244
In order to keep indoor cats inside the house it’s important to make sure that doors and windows are securely closed. It sounds obvious but cats are creative and very determined creatures and if there is a way for them to escape, they often will. This is especially true when cat owners (correctly) make the decision to turn their outdoor cats into indoor cats.
Windows are a favourite way for cats to escape. Make sure that all of the windows cannot be opened by your cat. If a window is left open slightly, some cats will use their paws to open it more fully. If there is no screen the cat can escape right then and there. If there is a screen, with just a bit of determination a cat might be able to break though it or slide it open. All you need to do to solve this problem is get a piece of wood and put it in the track of the window. Cut the length of wood so that when you place it in the window’s track, you can only open the window a few inches. Always make sure that your cat cannot squeeze through the opening space. Then to keep the wood in the track, screw it securely into the window frame.

While my brother, Rascal, enjoys showing off his tuxedo, I personally enjoy the "thug" look in a white t-shirt and black leather jacket. Rascal can be both my best friend and my worst enemy! I like to snuggle up with him for a nap and he gives good baths, but he can also be a real pest sometimes. He likes to trip me when I'm walking. I tend to knock my mom, Pooh Bear, over when I rub up against her, which gets her a little mad at me (I can't help it, she's so puny!), but otherwise, I'm really just a big pussycat! I have a very important responsibility, that I take VERY seriously. It's my job to greet everyone at the door as they come in and make sure they feel welcome - even if they are strangers! Then, when they go to leave, I have to walk them to the door and make sure they get out safely. I'll even lay down in front of the door and allow them to pet my tummy! My two most favorite things in the whole wide world are seasonal. In the summer, I like to play outside (I'll even go outside in the rain and snow, but it's not as much fun). Unfortunately I'm only able to go to the end of my leash. In the winter, I love to flake out on any available knee and I LOVE warming myself infront of the fireplace. I also love to play with my toy balls (I can't be bothered with all of those fake mice!). You can email me at rowdy@onecooldude.com You can see my brother, Rascal, and my mom, Pooh Bear, at their own websites. I have another website here, and you can also see all of us together. I also have a new little sister called Punkin and a new pesky little cousin called Aja (I think she looks kinda like a rat).
