Dogs in Mourning – Pet tip 246
Dogs are extremely sensitive animals and can feel many of the same emotions that humans feel. Although many seasoned dog owners already know this, newer dog owners are often surprised by the depth of some of the emotions that dogs can feel. We all know that dogs can be very happy creatures; their broad wagging tails give them away every time. But dogs are capable of feeling more complex emotions than just happiness. At the other end of the spectrum there is sadness and depression and dogs are capable of feeling these emotions. Perhaps there is no greater testament to this fact then when a dog’s owner or another dog from the household dies

Hi! My name is Maggie, and I'm a Poodle/West Highland White Terrier Mix. My mom got me from a pet store, and she thought I was so quiet and demure (I showed her!) My dad thought I would be too small, but when I heard him say "It's a good thing you're so cute!", I knew I was his forever. I love going for long walks and playing fetch with my tennis ball, though I'm not too quick to let go of the ball! I don't like people who walk on my property, so I sit on the couch to keep a constant vigil and bark at any trespassers. But I'm just a big suck and wouldn't hurt a fly. I'm good friends with Mikey the Staffie, and my favorite toy is Bucky the Beaver. I'm just a fun-loving gal and my owners can't get enough of me!
