On Wednesday our 11 month old golden retriever Omar dashed out into the street and was hit by a truck. He died. I can't believe he was taken from us so soon, when we adopted him I thought he would be with us for 10 years or more. Instead, he didn't make it to his first birthday. He was our first dog, he made our family complete.
Omar you were so wonderful, you made every day bright. I loved your feet and your soft snout and how your whole body wiggled when you wagged your tail. Seeing you was always the happiest part of my day. I loved taking you for walks and playing ball with you. It was so fun when we went camping. You loved car rides so much. I'm sorry you never had the chance to swim in the ocean.
I miss you Omar, you gave us so much love and happiness during your too short life.
