How Old is My Cat – Guessing a cat’s age – Pet tip 201
When people adopt a new cat or are thinking about buying a cat they often want to know how old that cat is. If the cat is a kitten this is usually easy. The original owner should know how old the kitten was or if you bring the kitten to a veterinarian, the vet should be able to tell how old the kitten is with a reasonable degree of accuracy. If good records were kept from kitten-hood or previous adoptions, again this is an easy task. The problem occurs when you are considering getting an adult cat whose age and/or history are unknown.

My name is Itty Bitty. I am VERY spoiled and I love my mommy and daddy. I have many, many toys and play stuff that mommy and daddy keep getting me and I also love my treats. We play hide and go seek together and if I can get my way then I will bother mommy and daddy until they scratch my butt while I eat. I am very loved and I love my mommy and daddy, and I guess my sister Twinkie is okay too. I love my eep eep mouse toy and treats, as well as fresh cold water filled twice a day in my bowl or mommy knows I won't drink it because I am too picky. I really do not like it when mommy or daddy try to rub my belly, I'm too pretty to be rubbed and to have my beautiful coat messed up. I do not like to eat the crumbs in my bowl, nope, I make mommy or daddy put fresh food in when the bowl gets low and same with water, it has to be running or ice cold. I know I sound like a brat but really I love my mommy and daddy and we are all happy together. I especially love to lay on daddy's side of the bed and sleep with my special nap-nap toy. My most embarassing moment had to have been when I jumped from the window sill into the living room and both farted and snorted when I landed. Mommy and daddy laughed at me and I was lucky enough that no other kitty saw it. I love my daddy and mommy!
