When it comes to reading a dog’s body language there are many movements and gestures to pay attention to. Some of the gestures are easy to understand. A growling dog is sending a clear message and very few people will mistake the intention of that message. It means that the dog is uncomfortable and you should immediately back off or back away. The growl will likely also come with other gestures like standing forward, ears pointing forward and possibly raised fur. A broad wagging tail is also a clear sign usually associated with happiness and alertness.

laddie had came to us in april 1978 and he was only 3 wks old, he was bought from the animal shelter. he was my parents dog but when laddie was only 2 yrs old my mother passed away but he stayed with us for 16 yrs and we have a lot of memories of him.
He was a black dog with white collie markings and had little white markings on his feet that looked like socks. we used to call him young winston, because he was such a proud boy. he became ill with epelepsy and had occasional fits later on in life that could not becontrolled, and the he developed atheritus in his legs and bacK then a heart murmour, I cannot forget that day we lost him, but we expected something to go wrong at that time because of his age, he had lived a wonderful life and he grew so close to us all, laddie kept us all going through the years and helped to fill in that empty space of my mothers passing.

In over 30yrs 2 wonderful lads became a bond of our lifes
