Pet Tip
You JUST got a new dog – Don’t freak out – Pet tip 255
Today’s domestic dog is still closely related to the wolf. Like all wolves living in a pack, dogs must be part of a stable family and feel safe. Most domestic behavioral problems occur when the dog is confused about how to act/behave in different situations such as your home or out on a walk.
It is recommended that you keep Fido confined no matter his age for at least the first month in your home. This will allow him to settle in more comfortably and adapt to your lifestyle. At the same time, confinement will reduce such misbehaviors as chewing and separation anxiety.
Here are a few general rules to help you to prevent misbehaviors when you bring Fido home:

star was my first dog. i was six in 2000 and wanted a dog really bad. my mom really dident want a dog but we went to the pet store with nothing an walked out with a rat terrier puppy. i was so exited. when i was sad she would jump in my lap and lick my face. she was my best friend untill the day she died. when we moved to a new house star was exited but nervous. 3 years later, star developed a blatter infection and started peeing all over the house. we couldent do anything for her. we went to the vet so many times to try and save her, bu t we couldent. on june 5 2008 me and my dad went to the vet and put her down. i hated my mom and dad for doing that but then i understood that she needed to be out of her pain. she layed in my lap when they put her down. i rubbed her ear and held her tight untill she was gone. we cremated her and i talk to her everyday.
i love you and miss you star doggie.
