Pet Tip

Pain aggression in dogs – Pet tip 257

Unfortunately the following two scenarios occur from time to time: You’re innocently petting your cat or dog when all of a sudden your pet bites you. The same reaction can happen when you pick up your cat or dog the way you always do, when all of a sudden it bites you. What is going on here? Your pet NEVER bites you, and now that you are trying to show it some love, it bites you. Has your pet gone mad? What might be going on here is pain induced aggression.

It seems so obvious after you bring your pet to a veterinarian to figure out what is going on, but it may be as simple as pain induced aggression. Pain induced aggression means that your pet has exhibited an aggressive behaviour because it is in pain. This is especially common in older pets that may be suffering from arthritis or perhaps one of their internal organs is bruised or diseased.

My Dear Garter, (aka Gartie, Gaaaarrtar, Garby)

I wish I could have taken better care of you. I wish you didn't have to leave me.

It was just yesterday you were swimming around ur tank. I loved how you would swim so proudly up and down your tank when you were happy. I loved how you would eat from my finger and even jump for the pellet. I loved how you would swim on the side I was in. I loved how you would puff up your gills when i put the sunflower mirror to your face. I loved your "growl" I love how you would "listen" to me..

You were a strong fish to deal with all my incompetance. I didn't know what to do when you were sick. Maybe I did too much..or not enough..or did the wrong thing. But i did it out of love. I wanted the best for you. Maybe paul is right... you were one lucky fish to have someone care about you as much as i did and still do.

i know you are better were you are now. always remember how much i love and care for you.
