Congenital hairlessness in cats is an extremely rare trait. Essentially, a hairless cat is the result of genetic mutations in one or more of the genes which encode for normal hair development. Waverly is the grey Garfield, he was left outside so much and neglected so badly that now that he is with us and healthy he refuses to step outside for fear he may never get back in, he has gained weight and now is sooooo very cuddly and soft. He is mommas gentle giant.
