Kyara was a dog we rescued from the pound when she was about 1 year old. She had already had a litter of pups and was turned in as a "stray". She was the most loving and gentle dog with any human large or small. She really loved people. Her one drawback was the typical Akita aversion to small animals and her need to dominate them. She was taken from us far too soon and suddenly. I took her to the vet at 2 pm and she was dead by 8 pm. We still miss her.
