Although any cat can suffer from high blood pressure (hypertension) it is most commonly seen in middle aged or senior cats. In case we have forgotten what blood pressure means, blood pressure refers to the force (pressure) of circulating blood against the walls of blood vessels; the higher the force, the greater the amount of stress that’s put on the heart to move the blood. This can cause the heart muscles to enlarge, get thicker, and weaken thereby reducing life expectancy. It’s one of the vital signs used to measure the overall health of many animals including humans.

Sammy is a very loyal cat. He is very nice and he is always there for me when I am sad! He loves us and I love him to tears. But he is 16 and his life might not last for a very long time (At the max. 6 years). It is very sad, But so far he is very healthy!Please vote for him. Sam is the nicest, most loyal, friendly and even fluffyest cat I know! I love him!Sam even let me ride on his back when I was a baby, thats how nice, loyal friendly (and fluffy) he is! He will always be with me no matter if he is standing beside me or permanentally engraved in my heart I will always love and remeber him for being my first and best cat ever! Sammy I love You!
