Major was only eight weeks old when i decided to bring him home. When i went to the people who were selling the Kennel club registerd shepards, he was sat in a corner by himself away from the other puppies and i fell in love with him instantly, & i think it went both ways.....I remember him lifting his tiny little head and it looked like he smiled at me......I did not even have to think about it once he looked at me....I walked over bundled his tiny little body into the palms of both my hands and that was it.........I took him home and for the 1st two weeks he was so frightened and would hide under my coffee table. A few weeks past and him and my children which at the time were also very young fell in love with each other. Not too long after i brought another shepard home Princess and again they just fell in love. In 1997 i moved to germany and they both came with me and took very well to the transistion, In 2001 i returned home to canada with both my dogs and children and again they made the transistion very well.........Major was an awesome dog. At 4 months of age i was told by the dog trainer that he had done everything he could with major as he had taken too all commands so excellenty. Growing up with my kids and other animlas in the home could not have asked for a better companion.
The dreaded day came on the 7th of november last yr after taken a very quick turn for the worse. 7 months have passed now and not a day goes by where i do not think of him. May seem silly to some but after having a pet that is so much apart of ur family for 14 yrs its a very hard loss......I like to think he is in a good place now running around free with other dogs.......
He may be gone from our lives now but he will never ever be forgotton.
