We all know how important nutrition is to good health. Food gives us fuel for energy and allows us to do things that we usually take for granted. The same goes for animals. However, when an animal is sick, or is in the hospital, it can often be very tricky to get them to eat properly. The term “anorexia” means that an animal is inappetent, uninterested in food, and has stopped eating. It is very important to keep the calories up in a sick patient since this is the time they need them the most. Nutritionists have calculated formulas for energy requirements for different sized animals that are healthy.

Hi, I am Apollo, named after the Greek god. I'm a good guy, but I dont let strangers think it. I keep them on edge - you know? I gotta look tough and be a big dog for my mommy. But it's hard to maintain my image when mommy keep babying me in front of people. Like come on - cant she just pretend like im all big and stuff?
After all, I am 10 months old. I weigh over 80lbs. Im not as big as my Great Dane sister Hera yet, but I am pretty Huge- especially when you see me next to a whippet.
I like with a kid, he is 10yrs old, but a major pain in my rear end. So I dont really have time for kids, but I do like other dogs and I even get on well with the cat variety (not to eat - but to play with).
I like to eat, go running, love to go hiking, and play with other big dogs.
I dont dig being confined, or gettin sprayed with the water bottle, ....
I love to chill on the bed, but mommy and dad dont let me, so I go sleep with my granma - she's a pushover. Every night my Dane sister and I spread out on granny's bed. She seems to like it.
