Howard was our beloved pet Basset Hound who died unexpectedly early Friday morning while recovering from surgery to remove his spleen. It was especially shocking and saddening because he was such a healthy Basset, and every indication before and after surgery was for a quick and easy recovery.


To borrow someone else's words, Howard wasn't our whole life, but he made our lives whole.


He will be sorely missed.
