Bailey the pink-nosed puppy walked into my life, and we made a pack of two from the beginning. She was my shadow, my lap dog and my “BooDoo”. Bailey was a faithful, loving friend who never complained about the hours I had to be away; when I came home, her tail thumped endlessly and she stayed at my heels or in my lap until it was time for us to part again. I always said we would leave the world together, but her time came first and she left me one year ago today. My heart aches no less for the year that has just passed. If it is possible to have a “soul-dog”, then BooDoo was mine, and there will not be another. She made my life happy, and my only dream is to reunite with her again, when our “someday” comes.
