Where Cats Sleep – Pet tip 250
One of the decisions that you’ll have to make when you get a new cat or kitten is where will it sleep? If you want your new kitten to sleep with you in your own bed then it should be no problem at all. Most kittens love sleeping with their owners and they will often press their bodies into yours for that warm cuddly feeling. If you’ve adopted an adult cat, it may take a little longer before the cat becomes comfortable enough to sleep in your bed. It may choose to sleep in another area of your bedroom, or it may choose to sleep in another room altogether. The trick is simple patience. If you are a kind and loving pet owner and interact and pet your cat, then eventually the cat will come around and likely jump on your bed to sleep when you least expect it.
If you don’t want your cat to sleep in your bed because of shedding, restlessness or other issues, then you have a few choices.

I found my parents one hot summer day in August. They fed me smoked salmon to coax me out of the bushes. I was about 6-8 weeks old. I loved them right away and purred and rubbed against them every chance I got.
They took me to the doctor in a BOX and I was checked over and given my shots. I was very brave and did not fuss much. However, when I had to go again for a bladder infection and stay the night for tests, I let them know I was not happy about it. I just could not help it when I went potty on the back seat of the SUV.. :)
I love my mom and dad. I follow them from room to room. Sometimes I must stand in front of the computer screen until they get the idea I want some attention. I am persistant in this. I stretch out everywhere I can. I sometimes sleep right between them. They feed me snacks and that is my favorite thing right now. I have them well trained.
I fetch and I bring them toys in bed to encourage them to play. They are very good about it. I go outside on a very long leash to explore. They keep an eye on me and untangle me from bushes. I have several friends who come over to play. I chase them away as I am the boss here.
I will run and jump on the bed over and over and meow quite loudly when I want them to get up. I lick their hair and get into things I am not suppose to. This usually annoys them and then they get up... I am just a little spoiled. I love my life and I am very lucky they found me.
