Congenital hairlessness in cats is an extremely rare trait. Essentially, a hairless cat is the result of genetic mutations in one or more of the genes which encode for normal hair development. While the word ‘mutation’ implies that this genetic condition is unwanted and accidental, there are actually many breeders who select specifically for the hairlessness trait and work to maintain the hairless lineage in their cats.

I am GIZMO! I am important, and i am beautiful. When i meow you will answer me....Promptly! I have an opinion on Everything. I am extremely intelligent, but very goofy too. i LOVE water....I love baths, I love showers......I love draining water from the water cooler...... (yeah they didn't like that last one too much! he he) I live with my mommy and dad, and my brother ...that bothersome dog. My mommy says i am beautiful, I am her babycat, and her special boy. I sleep on the bed by her legs, or any other spot i find in the house that suits my fancy. I am VERY picky about what i eat!!! Only fish for me......imagine feeding cow to a cat! humph! When i desire to be cuddled....I demand it! I never take no for an answer. My favorite sports are bottle cap hockey, the 100 room dash, lets outrun the puppy, and ping pong ball interception. YAWN *stretches* well i feel the need for some beauty sleep...you are dismissed.
