"Simonnn.." Grampy would say in his highest pitched voice.
The ultrasonic sound of Luke crying could be heard be other dogs kilometres away. His ambitous nose and poor eyesight searching for the little parakeet known as Simon.
It was simply that easy to tease Luke. But with his vocabluary reaching well over 80 words and his intelligence Luke was just as capable of teasing us. Stealing our slippers off our feet when we weren't paying attention and then bringing them back with the request of a reward. Or his triumphant return from the back fields covered in mud hours after we let him out to "go pee". Luke had a mind of his own, and a passion for the people he loved.
Despite his best efforts to protect us from the crows and neighbors for the rest of eternity, the little dog now stands beside us lovingly, in our minds.
