Where Cats Sleep – Pet tip 250
One of the decisions that you’ll have to make when you get a new cat or kitten is where will it sleep? If you want your new kitten to sleep with you in your own bed then it should be no problem at all. Most kittens love sleeping with their owners and they will often press their bodies into yours for that warm cuddly feeling. If you’ve adopted an adult cat, it may take a little longer before the cat becomes comfortable enough to sleep in your bed. It may choose to sleep in another area of your bedroom, or it may choose to sleep in another room altogether. The trick is simple patience. If you are a kind and loving pet owner and interact and pet your cat, then eventually the cat will come around and likely jump on your bed to sleep when you least expect it.
If you don’t want your cat to sleep in your bed because of shedding, restlessness or other issues, then you have a few choices.

Jake (A.K.A Monkey) is a very hyper cat, especially at night when mom and dad are trying to sleep! He stays in shape by doing the occasional lap around the place with his girlfriend, Peanut. Jake loves to curl up with mommy in bed and knead in her hair because it feels good and he shows his contentment by purring up a storm and sticking his tushy in daddy's face while doing so to get comfortable.
Jake's best friend is Jasper who will groom him until Jake's had enough, all the while gently butting heads with his pal to show him he loves him. Jake does not get along with his older stepsister, Kitty, as she did not give him a very good welcome when he first came home. Jake is now being resentful towards her by attacking her whenever she is in his sight. Although he can lay down beside her all day long and not bother her, it boggles mommy and daddy's mind as to why he must attack her when she walks around. It's like he wants to control her actions or something....did I mention Jake wants to be the head honcho of all the cats in this household?
His most favorite toy to play with is..Get this, a Q-tip! Every morning he will race mommy to the restroom and make sure he gets in before her so he can talk up a storm and cry for a Q-tip in the floor cabinet. It's strange behavior but he just loves to drive mommy crazy!
Jake doesn't beg for food, which mommy and daddy are grateful for but he is a messy eater with his kibble, eating with his mouth open dropping smaller crumbs for mommy and daddy to clean up daily, he's such a joy to have around....
Despite Jake being the bad seed most of the time, he does have some good qualities along with his cute distinguished look which mommy and daddy fell in love with at the store that day in July/02.
