Pet Servals – Pet tip 208
There are millions and millions of cat lovers across North America and this is because cats make great pets. In general they are easier to take care of than dogs and much more independent than dogs. They are normally affectionate, cuddly, cute, they don’t eat that much and they don’t put too many demands on their owners. In terms of pleasing our human senses, house cats come in different breeds with different shapes, colours, fur lengths and personalities. But what if you want something a little different, more unique? What if you want a different type of cat, maybe a much larger cat? If you have a flair for the exotic you might consider getting a serval.
Servals are slowly becoming more popular as pets. Servals look like cheetahs but they are much smaller. They typically weigh anywhere from 20-40 pounds depending on their sex (males are heavier) and ancestry. Their body length is anywhere from 2-3 feet and they are about 2 feet tall. The come from Africa and still roam wild in many rural places. They are also slowly starting to become more known as house-pets but they are still quite rare and not for everyone.

Just
give me some love and the rub of a good foot.
Hi,
I'm Gracie and was named after my human Grandma, Grace.
My favorite activity is sleeping and being massaged by my mom's foot
(I really do prefer feet!!)
I really don't have any dislikes, but my biggest pet peeve is when my
big brother, Santa barks (it makes me crazy!)
I am really easy-going and love attention from my family, but am very
shy of strangers.
My
embarrassing moments are when I try to clean my fur mane under my chin
and get the long hair in my mouth and mom has to pull it out for me.
My most cherished memory is when mom and dad brought my birth sister
home to me a week after adopting me.... our stepsister Heidi welcomed us both as though we were her babies.
My
birth sister, Jackie was named after our human Grandad Jack, but my
parents are sure they made a mistake naming us.
Jackie is more like nanny and I am actually more like Grandad in that
I can't seem to get out of my own way at times... I even prefer to drink
from my water bowl lying down!!
my cat friends are Jackie who is more loving and refined than I, birth
sister and Heidi my stepsister.
My dog friend is Santa my stepbrother.
I
have two feline sisters and one canine brother who love me dearly!!
