Hartz Class Action lawsuit getting started
I tried Hartz topical flea drops on one of our cats a couple of years ago. He had a scary adverse reaction that eventually stopped after I washed it off. I was afraid he was going to overheat & start seizuring!
If I had been able to document his reaction with our vet, I would consider joining this class action suit. I wish more vets were warning people about these OTC flea products. My condolences if your pet has been harmed or died because of them. "Class Action lawsuit getting started" July 19, 2010 Currently seeking pet owners who have had their pets hurt and/or killed by products manufactured by Hartz. It is not necessary for you to be a resident of Memphis, or of Tennessee to be included in this class action lawsuit. Info is posted online at http://www.hartzvictims.org/2010/07/...tting-started/ -

I wonder, too, why these products are on the market??? OTC, means just that we the consumers are not informed and are trying to save a buck and put our pets at risk. I leave these things to my vet, I'd rather pay more but be safe than sorry. I have no clue as to when to apply these products, or which ones to buy! As my cats are indoor cats, it makes a difference as to which products to use. My cats go to the vet once a year and the vet applies it. One goes every August and the other in September.
