Hello, I have an 11 year old male indoor cat.
He is not himself for a variety of reasons. No vomiting. But he won’t let anyone pick him up (even me), growls even when left alone, (I assume in pain) and walks around with his tail completely limp. He didn’t eat anything since this morning (it is now 10:30 PM), but will drink lots if we hold him and pour it in his mouth. He isn’t cleaning himself. Can still jump and walk fine and when we touch his tail he is not bothered. What is wrong, any ideas? Please help! |

You really need to get him to a vet. Cats not eating is actually quite harmful for them as it causes fatty liver syndrome. With the inappetance, behavioral changes, and apparent discomfort it is definitely something that will require medical attention.
Hope he's well soon!

if it's been 24 hours and the cat isn't better - vet time for sure. The not letting you pick it up could mean it's painful when you pick it up - so many possibilities here.
Good luck
